Upcoming Rapid Tournaments

Coming up on 26th November we have a one week round robin rapid.

Everyone will be broken up into groups of 4 with people close to their rating. It will be a great experience for everyone with lots of close competitive games.

Open Classic

Big congratulations to Brendan with his first classic tournament win! He played fantastically throughout and held the draw against Steve in the final game to clinch first place on 4.5/5. Will we see him next year in Division I?

Division I Classic

Joerg and Jordan will share the first place title on 4/5! Hai eagerly watched but unfortunately for him a draw was the worst result for his chance at second place.

Their game ended where both players felt a queen trade would benefit the other player and settled for a 3-fold repetition. Don’t be fooled by the even eval bar, this highly complicated Carlsbad pawn structure is one of the most studied in history!
