Preliminary Pairings

Former president (Jordan) faced off against current president (Bevan)!

Jordan had an advantage for most of the game. He then made two blunders and the game was turned upside down. Black to play, Bevan found the best move to capitalise on a blunder. Can you find it?

Chess Olympiad

The Chess Olympiad as it stands (20/9) has India in the lead with 16 points.

Gukesh, winner of the candidates and world championship challenger, played an exciting end game with two knights against a rook. He showed how these knights can coordinate and dominate the rook. White to play, can you find the only move that maintains the advantage for white?
