Classic Results

We recently finished our six round classic tournament and we are back to some fast games. See the full results from the tournament and prize winners below.

Congratulations to Bevan who won on a score of 5.5/6 - the half point was because he was unable to attend round 2. We do offer half point byes if you cannot attend a round. He won the other five games, twice being the last game to finish. Congratulation to Greg who only lost round 1 against Bevan.

Blitz Results

Congratulations to Jordan Morris who has returned to play for the first time this year. He placed first on 10/11 losing only one game to newcomer Jet Mahanidis.

Jet joins us from Perth and at only 10yrs old showed us how Blitz should be played. He was nervous to be playing against adults but brought his A-game and placed equal second on 9/11. A huge result for both his age (10yrs) and his rating of only 961. Jet will continue to attend and play against us. Come along and see the talent he has brought along to the club.

Prize amounts are based on entry fees.

Holiday Rapid - Great for Juniors

Our next tournament is our holiday rapid tournament.

We will play four games a night for the next two weeks.

We run this tournament at the time control of 15min + 5sec per move in the hope that juniors will join us. This is the same time control that juniors play in local competition.

There is a junior tournament this coming Tuesday afternoon. Juniors will be invited to join in the evening also. If you want to know more about local junior tournaments or have someone who would be interested in attending, please email Bevan at or by clicking the button below.
